A Viktor alternative with its own account in your tenant

Viktor and Invellis are arguing for the same thing: that what you want is not another tool to learn but something that does the work. We agree with the premise. Both run in Microsoft Teams. The difference is what the thing is once it is there, and what happens to your bill when it gets used. There's no new app to learn: if you can send a message, you can work with it.

An account, not an app in a channel.

Viktor shipped a Microsoft Teams app in June 2026, so platform is no longer the argument. What differs is what the thing is once it is there. A teammate holds a real Microsoft 365 account with its own licence, so it appears in Teams and Outlook, can be emailed and invited to a meeting, and shows up in the admin and compliance tooling you already run. An app added to a channel is governed as an app.

One price, whatever it does.

Invellis is a flat monthly fee per teammate. Model usage is included, and ordinary business use produces no usage charge at the end of the month. That is the number you can put in a budget. Where a tool bills by consumption, the cost of success is a bigger bill, which is an odd incentive to hand your team.

We deploy it and cover the first month.

We install the teammate, connect it, and agree in writing what it has to deliver before it goes live. It then runs for 30 days before anything is invoiced, and if it does not deliver what was agreed you owe nothing. The risk of it not working sits with us rather than with your budget.

It runs inside your own tenant.

The teammate is deployed into your own Microsoft 365 and Azure, under an identity your administrators control, and its actions are logged where your existing compliance tooling can already see them. The models it reasons with run in an Azure subscription Invellis operates under Microsoft's enterprise terms, never a public model and never a training set. Enterprise deployments can host the models in your own Azure subscription instead.

When Viktor is the right answer

Three honest cases:

  • You want the teammate itself to live in Slack. It can post to your channels and read from them through a connector, but it holds a Microsoft 365 account and not a Slack one, so it is not a member of your workspace. Viktor started in Slack and is still strongest there, and that is where our argument is at its weakest.
  • You want the widest possible catalogue of integrations for long-tail tools. Breadth of connectors is a real strength and worth weighing.
  • You would rather pay for credits as you use them, scaling up and down, than commit to a flat monthly fee per teammate.

We are making the same argument about AI at work. Which one fits depends mostly on where your company already works.

Questions we get asked

What is the actual difference?

What the thing is, and how it bills. Both run in Teams now. Invellis holds a real Microsoft 365 account in your tenant with its own licence and scoped access, for a flat monthly fee per teammate with no usage charges. Viktor is an app you add to a channel, billed per seat with credits on top.

Do you integrate with as many tools?

A teammate reaches Teams, Outlook, SharePoint and over a thousand pre-built connectors, Slack among them: the Slack connector is published by Microsoft and carries no premium licensing, so a teammate can post to your channels and read from them. Where a tool has no connector yet, our connectors make building a custom one straightforward, so the practical limit is whether your tool has an API rather than whether it is already on a list. What a teammate cannot do is live in Slack. It holds a Microsoft 365 account and not a Slack one, so it is not a member of your workspace and nobody can @-mention it.

Can we try it before committing?

Yes. We deploy it at no cost and cover its first 30 days on the job. Billing starts only if it delivers what we agreed before it went live, and if it falls short you owe nothing.

See what it would cost you.

Or see what doing it by hand costs you today and compare it against a flat fee.
